Head above water

Well, I'm plodding on at the moment on a kind of even ish keel. Still very tired (as ever), but getting into my stride using my pedometer (excuse the pun)!

Having a week away in a cottage in the middle of nowhere helped. I've come back more relaxed and calm.
I'm going with the flow, though still in my coffin rather too much.

I've become less embarrassed about using my stick, if it gets me out for a walk then that's a good thing right?
It is a rather funky stick - its black with pretty flowers on!

My kitty cat keeps me amused, he really looks after me, especially with his antics of running around playing with his tabby friend. Cats are just so therapeutic, don't know why, but it's true!

My joints have been extra stiff, crackly, and sore lately. The physiotherapist who runs the graded exercise class that I go to says its because of moisture in the air. Hot, sticky, humid weather causes the joints to swell, which causes the stiffness. The answer is to not stay in one position for too long. Have a stretch, move about every now and then.

I'm getting better at pacing myself, I think it helps that I'm now in touch with quite a few people who have M.E, you swap tips etc. What works for one person may not work for another, it's trial and error really.

Well, Miss Kitty Whip is out tonight for a drink with some good friends. Best spend the day in my coffin so I have enough energy. I tend to drink alcohol very seldom nowadays. It just makes me feel unwell for days afterwards.
I do however like a glass of fizz, or a Pinot noir though!

Right, I had best crawl out of my coffin, well it is fastly approaching lunch time! Time for a hot, relaxing bath.
Need to do some yoga stretches, where's my kitten? He usually shows me how it's done, he's so much better at them than me!
